Marcus Rashford (85 OVR – 89 POT)
Team: Manchester United
Age: 23
Wage: £129,000 p/w
Value: £66.7 million
Best Attributes: 93 Sprint Speed, 92 Shot Power, 86 Dribbling
Already an established England international at 23 years old, Marcus Rashford claims the top spot with an overall rating of 85 and a potential of 89.
Rashford’s lightning pace at 92 sprint speed makes it easy for him to latch onto balls in the channels, and he relishes the opportunity to beat defenders with his 86 dribbling and five-star skill moves. Not only does he excel with his wing-play, but with 83 finishing and 92 shot power, he’s also potent in front of goal, be it in the box or from range.
Marcus Rashford burst onto the scene back in the 2015/16 season for Manchester United, graduating from their academy and quickly cementing himself in the first team as one of the Premier League’s top talents. At just 23 years old, the England international has amassed 271 appearances and 88 goals so far in his career. Of those goals, 21 came last season, and he also provided 15 assists during his 57 games in that time.
Christian Pulisic (82 OVR – 88 POT)
Team: Chelsea
Age: 22
Wage: £103,000 p/w
Value: £42.1 million
Best Attributes: 91 Acceleration, 88 Dribbling, 88 Balance
This hot-footed winger makes for a great speedster in any side, and with an 82 overall and 88 potential rating, Christian Pulisic is a fantastic prospect.
Possessing 91 acceleration and 87 sprint speed combined with his four-star skill moves and 88 dribbling, Pulisic is a menace with the ball at his feet, enabling him to freely advance into the opponent’s final third.
Chelsea managed to pry the 22-year-old American from Borussia Dortmund for £57.6 million in 2019. Pulisic made his Premier League debut in August that year, but his season ended early due to an injury sustained in January 2020. Last season, Pulisic managed six goals and four assists in 43 appearances, in a year marred by various injuries which saw him miss 14 games throughout the course of the season.
Moussa Diaby (81 OVR – 88 POT)
Team: Bayer Leverkusen
Age: 21
Wage: £45,000 p/w
Value: £45.2 million
Best Attributes: 96 Acceleration, 93 Balance, 92 Sprint Speed
In third place on this list is Moussa Diaby, a winger with blistering pace and enough agility to terrorise back lines. Sporting an 81 overall rating and 88 potential, the Frenchman is a great option with plenty of room to grow.
It’s hard to ignore the ferocious speed of Diaby; he possesses 96 acceleration and 92 sprint speed, making the young man one of the quickest players in the footballing world. Fresh out of the gate as a dribbling specialist, Diaby can wiggle his way into key areas, and if you work on his 78 short passing and 76 vision you can utilise his speed, dribbling, and passing to great effect.
Diaby is plying his trade in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen after the German outfit managed to snap up this young talent from PSG for £13.5 million in the summer of 2019. After an impressive debut season, Diaby cemented his place in the first team last year scoring ten goals and setting up 15 more in 43 appearances, and making a name for himself as a top young talent at just 21 years old.
Marc Cucurella (81 OVR – 87 POT)
Team: Brighton and Hove Albion
Age: 22
Wage: £54,000 p/w
Value: £35.7 million
Best Attributes: 88 Stamina, 83 Balance, 82 Reactions
The left wing isn’t the only position Cucurella can dominate. He also makes for a very convincing left back which adds a tonne of versatility to a game which has earned him an 81 overall and 87 potential rating.
The highlight of Cucurella’s attributes is without a doubt his 88 stamina, which ensures that this machine gives everything during a match – particularly useful if you take advantage of his ability to play anywhere down the left. Possessing 81 crossing, 81 short passing, and 78 vision, assisting teammates is second nature for this young Spaniard.
A product of Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy, Cucurella had brief spells with SD Eibar and Getafe before being bought by Premier League club Brighton for £16.2 million in the summer transfer window of the 2021/22 season.
After a solid season in Spain last year in which Cucurella made 39 appearances, scoring three and assisting two goals before making the move to Brighton, only time will tell if he can impress enough in England to force an international debut.
Harvey Barnes (81 OVR – 84 POT)
Team: Leicester City
Age: 23
Wage: £82,000 p/w
Value: £30.1 million
Best Attributes: 86 Sprint Speed, 85 Acceleration, 82 Dribbling
Harvey Barnes is next on this list, a player with an impressive 81 overall and 84 potential which make him an excellent signing for teams looking to climb the ranks of the footballing world without breaking the bank.
Having decent pace ratings at 86 sprint speed and 85 acceleration means that Barnes isn’t a slouch on the left flank and has an excellent base to improve upon as he develops. His 81 positioning and 78 finishing can be a lethal combination in front of goal, with Barnes often finding himself in the right place at the right time to get on the score sheet.
After graduating from Leicester City’s academy, Barnes made his Premier League debut in 2018 at just 20 years old. Now 23 years old, the English winger has yet to receive an international call up but after producing 13 goals and four assists from 35 appearances last season, despite missing the final 16 games through injury, it might not be long until Southgate’s eyes fall on this talent.
Vinícius Jr. (80 OVR – 90 POT)
Team: Real Madrid
Age: 21
Wage: £103,000 p/w
Value: £40 million
Best Attributes: 95 Acceleration, 95 Sprint Speed, 94 Agility
The mercurial talent that is Vinícius Jr. has an incredible future ahead of him, providing that he fulfils the massive potential he’s shown so far. This potential is evidenced in FIFA 22; he starts the game at 80 overall with a mouth-watering 90 potential rating.
The young Brazilian holds ridiculous pace stats, ranking as the fastest on our list with 95 sprint speed and 95 acceleration. The sheer sight of this man warming up makes defenders sweat. Adding to his pace is his fantastic 89 dribbling, five-star skill moves and four-star weak foot, giving Vinícius Jr. the edge against anybody with the ball at his feet.
Vinícius Jr. entered the spotlight in a similar fashion to superstar Neymar, producing excellent displays in his native Brazil for Flamengo. These performances caught the eye of Spanish giants Real Madrid, who were determined not to be beaten to another South American talent and forked out £40.5 million for Vinícius Jr.’s signature in 2018.
Because of the recognition Vinícius Jr. gained so early in his career, it would be easy to think that he’s been under-performing in Spain, having scored just six goals and assisting seven in 49 appearances last season. At just 20 years old, however, the future star is still learning his trade.
Steven Bergwijn (80 OVR – 84 POT)
Team: Tottenham Hotspur
Age: 23
Wage: £71,000 p/w
Value: £25.8 million
Best Attributes: 89 Balance, 87 Acceleration, 84 Dribbling
Boasting an 80 overall and 84 potential rating, Steven Bergwijn is another decent winger for clubs who don’t possess an obscene transfer budget looking to climb up the tables.
Bergwijn’s standout attributes come from his physical qualities. His 87 acceleration and 84 sprint speed enable him to breeze past his slower opponents while utilising his 89 balance and 84 ball control to beat defenders with the ball at his feet. Another attribute that catches the eye is his 84 shot power and 81 long shots, which ensure that all of his shots have plenty of venom behind them.
Bergwijn signed for Premier League big guns Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020 for £27 million after impressing for Dutch side PSV, where the former Ajax youth product won three Eredivisie titles.
The pacey Dutch winger will be looking to reach the potential which made Tottenham sign him after scoring just once and assisting seven times in 35 appearances last season. Despite being only 23 years old, he has already amassed 13 international appearances for the Netherlands, scoring once in the process. It’s safe to say that the future is bright for Steven Bergwijn.
