We’ve got ALL the best young Dutch players to sign in FIFA 22.
Bar a 1988 European Championship, silverware has mostly eluded the Netherlands. Still, it’s the home of some of the greatest footballers of their respective generations, including Clarence Seedorf, Frank de Boer, Edwin van der Sar, Patrick Kluivert, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Johan Cruyff.
With the likes of Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, and AZ Alkmaar being world-renown developers of top talents, there’s always a strong batch of Dutch wonderkids emerging. This season isn’t any different, with there being several players with high potential from the Netherlands who’re worth signing in Career Mode.
To get you one of the best young players from the Netherlands, here are the best young Dutch wonderkids in FIFA 22.
Choosing FIFA 22 Career Mode’s best Dutch wonderkids
There’s a copious amount of Dutch talent in FIFA 22, with Career Mode studs like Ryan Gravenberch, Jurriën Timber, and Myron Boadu headlining the wonderkids available.
Still, to be classed as one of the best Dutch wonderkids in the game, the players need at least an 80 potential rating, be 21-years-old at the most, and have the Netherlands listed as their footballing nation.
At the base of the article, you’ll find the full list of all of the best Dutch wonderkids in FIFA 22.
Ryan Gravenberch (78 OVR – 90 POT)
Team: Ajax
Age: 19
Wage: £8,900
Value: £28.5 million
Best Attributes: 84 Ball Control, 83 Dribbling, 81 Stamina
Ranking among the outright best wonderkids to sign in Career Mode, Ryan Gravenberch’s 90 potential rating also places him as the best Dutch wonderkid in FIFA 22.
Still only 19-years-old, but standing 6’3’’, Gravenberch is already a 78-overall CM, boasting 83 dribbling, 81 stamina, 81 vision, 84 ball control, 79 short passing, 78 long passing, and 74 finishing. By the time that the young player reaches his 90 potential, he’ll be nearly unstoppable.
As you’d assume from such a highly-rated prospect playing in the youth-centric Eredivisie, Gravenberch is already a first-team regular for Ajax, scoring ten goals and eight assists by his 71st appearance for the Dutch giants.
Jurriën Timber (75 OVR – 86 POT)
Team: Ajax
Age: 20
Wage: £8,500
Value: £10 million
Best Attributes: 86 Sprint Speed, 82 Jumping, 80 Acceleration
As can almost always be assumed, Ajax boast several of the best young players from the Netherlands, with Jurriën Timber further populating the top-end of the best Dutch wonderkids from the Amsterdam-based club.
Timber’s main strengths – which only increase as he develops towards his 86 potential rating – are his 86 sprint speed, 80 acceleration, and 73 agility. The centre back’s a true speedster and will be able to keep up with the fastest forwards in FIFA 22 as he increases his overall rating.
Last season, the Utrecht-native was a regular starter, with a few injuries derailing consistent runs in the side. Still, he amassed 30 appearances while playing in the right back and centre back positions. This season, Timber’s one of the starting centre backs again.
Devyne Rensch (73 OVR – 85 POT)
Team: Ajax
Age: 18
Wage: £2,900
Value: £6 million
Best Attributes: 82 Sprint Speed, 79 Acceleration, 77 Jumping
Right back Devyne Rensch offers high-end potential in a very shallow position for highly-rated talent, and he ranks among the best young players from the Netherlands to sign. Furthermore, he’s another wonderkid who currently plays for Ajax.
Like Timber, the 18-year-old is a speedster. Rensch’s 82 sprint speed, 79 acceleration, and 84 agility are among his best attributes, with his 72 sliding tackle being very useful when tracking back.
Last season, Rensch broke into Ajax’s first-team, playing in the cup, Europa League, and Eredivisie. He ended the season with 29 appearances, three goals, and two assists, playing on the left and the right. To start this season, he mostly featured at left back.
Myron Boadu (76 OVR – 85 POT)
Team: AS Monaco
Age: 20
Wage: £31,000
Value: £14.5 million
Best Attributes: 91 Acceleration, 88 Sprint Speed, 85 Agility
Myron Boadu may not have the potential rating of Gravenberch, but he might just be the most sought-after of the best Dutch wonderkids because of his attribute ratings as a young striker.
Super-fast strikers are essentially cheat codes in FIFA 22: not only does Boadu boast 88 sprint speed and 91 acceleration from the start of Career Mode, but he’s got plenty of room to develop those attributes further.
After scoring 38 goals in 88 games for AZ Alkmaar, the 20-year-old striker moved to AS Monaco for around £16 million. Through the early stages of the Ligue 1 campaign, Boadu has been eased into the starting XI.
Sven Botman (79 OVR – 85 POT)
Team: LOSC Lille
Age: 21
Wage: £23,000
Value: £22 million
Best Attributes: 88 Strength, 82 Stamina, 82 Stand Tackle
Lille’s towering centre back Sven Botman lands on the list of the best Dutch wonderkids thanks to his 85 potential rating, but is already a decent signing for your first-team thanks to his 79 overall rating.
The left-footer standing 6’4’’ is quite the presence along the backline, particularly when you account for his 88 strength, 82 standing tackle, 81 heading accuracy, and 79 jumping. Better still, there’s plenty of room to improve on his top attributes.
Born in Badhoevedorp, Botman made his way through the Ajax youth set-up after switching from RKSV Pancratius. Before he could play for the first-team, and after a loan spell with Heerenveen, the centre back was snapped up by LOSC Lille for £7.2 million. Now, he’s one of the French side’s starting centre backs.
Brian Brobbey (73 OVR – 85 POT)
Team: Red Bull Leipzig
Age: 19
Wage: £26,500
Value: £6.5 million
Best Attributes: 92 Strength, 89 Jumping, 85 Sprint Speed
Brian Brobbey lands high up on this list of the best young players from the Netherlands, with pure athleticism powering his 73 overall rating, and likely his 85 potential.
He may stand 5’11’’, but Brobbey’s a mighty unit to contend with up top. The 73-overall striker already has 92 strength, 89 jumping, 85 sprint speed, and 81 acceleration. At 19-years-old and with plenty of developing to do, his 75 finishing also looks set to reach a near-elite value.
After scoring six goals in 18 games of the Eredivisie and Europa League last season for Ajax, the Amsterdam-native shifted to RB Leipzig on a free transfer. By his sixth appearance of the campaign, Brobbey had been used sparingly by the German side, but had already registered his first assist.
Micky van de Ven (68 OVR – 84 POT)
Team: VfL Wolfsburg
Age: 20
Wage: £11,000
Value: £2.6 million
Best Attributes: 81 Strength, 76 Sprint Speed, 70 Slide Tackle
Marking the top of the drop from players with 85 potential ratings and above to the second-tier of the best Dutch wonderkids to sign in Career Mode is Micky van de Ven, with an 84 potential rating.
The 6’4’’ Dutchman is still only a 68-overall centre back, and so his value is a very affordable £2.6 million. Despite this relatively lowly rating, the left-footer has solid defensive ratings of 81 strength, 70 slide tackle, 68 stand tackle, and 69 heading accuracy.
Born in Wormer, Van de Ven switched from WSV ’30 to Volendam as a youth, made his way through the system of the Dutch club, and eventually tallied 48 games for them. Over the summer, VfL Wolfsburg signed him for around £3.2 million.
